As it’s International Women’s Day, we wanted to take the time to pay tribute to some of the great women-led businesses that stock Peper Harow. These women are an inspiration, starting their businesses with a clear mission and vision in mind and absolutely smashing it! We are honoured to be part of their stores.
British Design British Made - East Sussex, UK
Paula had the brilliant idea of “British Design British Made” after attending a retail event and feeling disappointed in the lack of high quality, ethically made products. She decided to start this shop which sells exclusively British made products and specifically seeks out ethical items. This made them the perfect Peper Harow partner - you can find them in Battle, East Sussex or online here.
Twigs – Virginia, USA
In the charming town of Purcellville, Virginia you’ll find the unique store Twigs, based within a turn of the 20th century home. Within each room there are an array of different goods – from home décor, jewelry and of course – Peper Harow Socks! Twigs is over 20 years old and run by Amy Turner. It is the perfect place to pick up a gift for a loved one, with an added bonus of them offering free gift wrapping. Visit them here.
Caragon Boutique – Lindfield, UK
An independent fashion and accessory boutique in Lindfield, this store is run by Chrissie – who has a heart for all things ethically produced and high quality. At this boutique you’ll find clothing, gifts and home décor. You can visit this West Sussex store in person or shop online here.
Goods LA – Los Angeles, CA
Tucked just off the sunny strip of Santa Monica’s Ocean Park Boulevard you’ll find “GOODs”. Created by Ivana Suvak and Katherine Inglis, they hand select all the items they keep in their store and only choose things of the highest quality. They prioritise fair-trade and natural products, with some examples being candles, chocolate and various accessories.
This is what Ivana and Katherine had to say: “We opened GOODS 13 years ago in the midst of a recession because we saw an opportunity to create something special for our community. As two women with a passion for community-building and retail, we knew that we could create a unique shopping experience that would not only provide high-quality products, but also foster connections and relationships within our neighborhood. Our shop is carefully curated with products that are ethically sourced from all over the world, as well as handmade in Los Angeles. Every item in our store is a reflection of our values of sustainability, ethics, and quality craftsmanship. We firmly believe that in-person shopping is essential for building stronger and more connected neighborhoods. Boxfox - Los Angeles, California
Boxfox began with a clear mission in mind: to create purposeful, non-waste gift boxes that could be sent to loved ones when you couldn’t reach them yourself. You can find expertly created gift sets made just for you, or customise your own, tailoring it to your own needs. They really thought of everything.
